The Council of Masters is comprised of twelve Dark Jedi Masters who lead the Dark Jedi Order and instruct the rising Dark Jedi students. The Council is composed of the Supreme Overlord of the Dark Jedi, the Grand Jedi Master, the Dark Lord of the Sith and his Sith Apprentice, the High Priest of the Krath and his Hand of Krath, and six other Dark Jedi Masters.

Dark Jedi students are assigned to a Master upon initiation into the Dark Jedi Order. The student will remain with this master learning the ways of the Dark Side and increasing his or her dark powers until the student attains the level of Dark Jedi Knight. Beyond the level of Dark Jedi Knight lies the choice of the advanced and specialized training of the Sith and Krath orders or further non-sectarian Dark Side training.
